hacker on minas

a player named Bagheera1 is hacking on the server i busted him this day.

We have a procedure for dealing with cheaters. Please record a video (you can type /autorecord in your console and then /stoprecord to finish the video. Then upload the dm_84 video file to a file sharing site like speedyshare. Then post the link in the forum so we can take a look at it. If we agree he is hacking he will get a permanent ban.

You can also turn on record from within the V 0 menu, but you need to be player (not spec) to access the V menu (this is a jaymod bug). Then go to spectator and left-click until you find the guy you want to record, and follow him until you get some good footage.

 You do not need xfire to record a video. ET has a built-in recording program that makes a kind of file called a "dm_84" that can be shared and played back on other computers running ET. This is what we look for to evaluate whether someone is cheating.

We do not rely on word-of-mouth since players are notoriously unreliable. Even trained admins can make mistakes. So we need to review a dm_84 video to prevent bad bans.
