a nice map pack i think the missile is a bad map it makes the game lag for unkmow reason eevery other map is good but that ones lags

Thanks! That is exactly the kind of feedback I need to make good decisions.

I will take that missile map out tonight.

Also I am reducing the rate of fire of the shotgun a bit, and increasing the clip size of most of the other weapons to 999. Most of the clips were at 30. They needed to be reloaded constantly due to the 1200 round per minute rate of fire. So these changes will push players towards a wider variety of weapons.

thats nice yep the shotgun is pretty op Very Happy
But its nice that the other weapons are getting a little upgrade:D

Yeah I had noticed that the shotgun was so overpowered that it was becoming the only weapon people were using, and anyone who didn't have it did not have a chance. It was getting to be like the panzers were a few months ago, when I had them cranked up faster. Or like the arty/airstrikes were so overused, back when the field ops were charging in 20 seconds.

So last night I played for a few hours after I did the weapon upgrade. As expected, a couple players complained, but this always happens whenever something changes. If they are still unhappy in a week I will think about changing it back. Once people get used to something, they don't like it altered even if it is a good change. For now I think it will help reduce the turnover on the servers.

I was noticing lately that newer/less skilled players were leaving after getting slaughtered by good players with the fast shotguns. So maybe this will let new players feel a little less victimized. Also, with the shotguns it is virtually impossible to determine if someone is using an aimbot. So I wanted to reduce the desirability of the shotguns enough to push suspected botters into other, more obvious weapons. And I wanted to nerf the shotgun enough that it is not overwhelming in the hands of an aimbotter if he decides to keep using it anyway.

Now with the submachine guns having the 999 clip, I saw a lot more players using the mp40, the thompson, and the sten last night. With 999 rounds in the clip these guns become a lot more convenient and fun, since you don't have to hit R to reload every couple seconds. The mp40 makes a fun assault weapon at 1200 rounds per minute with a 999 clip.
