So today I am bringing the carcass of "Chitownshooter"

This player was rushing maps, and after many warnings and xp reset he finally earned permaban.

We will ban players permanently if they constantly destroy the game for others by rushing maps and making fun of admins, because they think they are untouchable.

I remember when he rushed Saberpeak, an blew up the sub 2 minutes into the game.  The game didn't end, and we wound up having to run the clock down.  And then Axis won.

I never understand whats up whit this guys... Good players but some times change to noobs or hacks or offensive words players... Why this guys do this? Álcool? Drugs? Many time playing? Spider bites? Bad lol.

Hey,

LtDan, you may have come up with the solution!

Is it possible to put a rule in the game that if a team completes the objective within the first 5 minutes, their team not only loses but the game runs the clock out?

Then it wouldn't matter if the obj was taken immediately, the team doing that would always lose and the players would have to wait out the entire length of the map!

There would no longer be any incentive to rush and if you did, it would have the opposite effect of what you intended.

The only problem with that is a lot of players enjoy playing the maps for the objective and not a frag fest. I personally do and hate it when then game is basically over with nothing to do but shoot.

Hmmm...
Well, it would remove the incentive of rushing, so once that's clearly understood, no one would rush and it would still be about the obj.

That or maybe put a rule that if you take the obj before 5 minutes, you die?

I know there are 3 Mods that FBY doesn't use, but probably should (don't know if the mods cost $), that I have seen on other servers.
Bots can not complete objectives.
This is good because it prevents the bots from grabbing the objective early (sometimes the are the rushers).  the only downside is when you have an engy-free human game, and you need a bot to blow the objective.
Completion of Objective not possible in the first 5 minutes.
This is great, because it absolutely stops the rushers cold.  I don't know if the time limit is adjustable.
On Screen Game timer
The game time actually shows on the screen, so there is no debate as to how long the game has been going.
Probably some others out there too.

That's something that came up yesterday.  Is the "objective" the final thing that leads to the end of the game, or is it anything connected?  Is it the "final objective"?

For example, blowing gates are objectives, but can you blow the gate in the first 5 minutes?  So long as you don't wall-jump or do it out of order?

On Resurrection, can you grab the documents in the first 5 minutes?  I've seen it allowed and disallowed by admin's on both ways.

On the map where you blow the water pump, can you grab the key pass in the first 5 minutes, or is it just that you can't blow the final objective in the first 5 minutes?

I'd just like to be on the same page as we're all playing...it makes a difference in how you play.

And what's the map with the crane controls?  Anybody think that one is too long?  Too easy for Allies, IMO...unless Allies are stacked.

The "main objective" can be the last destructible or the last item to be picked up. On Resurrection it would be the documents, on Rommel it would the water pump or whatever it is to blow up there ;]
