Power of Medicinal Mushrooms Empty Power of Medicinal Mushrooms

Post by Twisted Thu May 28, 2015 8:35 am

A few years ago my mother had cancer. Took the traditional cancer treatments, and cemo. She shrank down to less then 90 lbs. I feared we was gonna lose her, and still fear it because I have seen so many people have the relaps and die quickly after wards.
This my friends we all share together in life.  All along the way suffering in various ways and watching others suffer too.
After my experience with the pharmaceuticals, and their side effects in the past year. I learned all these synthetic substances can have some horrible side effects to our bodies. Especially our livers, hearts, kidneys,  and brains. So while they are supposed to be helping us in some way. They are hurting us in another. They shouldn't even be out on the market. Pharmaceuticals are in the business of making money even if they kill us to make it. And all while masking the damage they do in the benefits they are selling the drugs for. All the more better for them to make more money selling us the remedies for the side effects they cause.
So I dived into natural medicinal  mushrooms. And feel compelled to share with you a link to get you started in learning about these amazing organisms your self.
I found some vids with Paul Staments, a life long devoted mycologist speaking about them.

Paul Stamets at TedMed

This vid is a good start into the world of healing mushrooms can bring into our lives.
Maitake, Reishi , Turkey Tail, Agarikon and Lions Mane, all have medicinal properties that fight viruses, bacterial infections, cancer, and even mental illnesses.
There is a growing amount of evidence that mushrooms are a natural super food and healer. I am finding study after study showing just that.
So I invite you to explore the links on the vid page. Listen to more of Paul Stamets vids on mycology. And I believe you'll see what I mean when I say.
Mushrooms are Amazing.
Also if you search you well find out how to find these mushrooms your self. Or even grow them your self in your homes. Which is what I'm gonna start doing. You can buy the spores, and supplies on line or make your own spore prints from wild ones.
These give me hope. Hope that I can help save, or extend my moms life and do the same for myself. While greatly improving the quality of life.

Thanks Trent
All most every drug on the market is a synthetic or extracts of a natural drugs from plants.  However most all have bad side effects.
I've been reading about plants most my life. Used a few too, hehe.
But  I've never been much into mushrooms. I've hunted morels and ate the ones from the store. Never even tried  paddy shroons.
Then I discovered a vid about Chaga mushrooms and how they had cancer fighting properties.
Then it was like most all the vids linked to that one was talking about about these studies that show all these medicinal benefits of mushrooms.
And the great thing is I can grow them here at home. Maitake, Reishi,Turkey Tail, and Lions Mane are easily grown at home. The Agarikon is a slow growing one though. Except for the Agarikon one species or another of these grow all over the world in the wild.
So the first sunny day after it rains I'm gonna be in the woods. I could buy them on line. But it well be so much more fun to find them myself. The ones I mention above are easy to learn to identify. They have their own unique look. There are a lot of vids showing how to find, and identify them.

Never got into mushrooms... I get enough nausea just doing my taxes or sitting in traffic lol.

As for medicinal plants, personally I take ginseng every day, and if I run out I can tell within a couple days that I have lost my energy and feeling of youth.

B12 and iron are great for feeling young and healthy too.

Yea Paul said something about cleaning and making a tea with the shroons that you find on manure. That because the bacteria can make you sick. And in boiling them you kill the bacteria.
There is evidence that psilocybin can trigger new brain cell growth. Cure various mental illnesses, and addictions. You don't have to take so much you have a crazy trip either. There is evidence that at low doses over time well do the same thing.
There are also the Reishi also that are reported to have mind healing properties, as well as spiritual healing properties too. That on top of the antiviral, and anti cancer benefits.
I'm not saying that these things don't have any side effects. However I have not seen any examples of any toxic effects from using them except for if you have any schizophrenia in your family to not use the psilocybin ones. Because they they may cause a psychosis. However no such warning in using the Reishi. They are a type that you make a tea out of. Not one of the gourmet varieties like the Maitake, Morels, and Chicken of the Woods.
I've taken ginseng, and ginko beloba for years myself. Take herbal energy supplements all the time.
It's a constent battle for me fighting sleepyness, and low energy. Even when I'm active I feel sleepy, and so I take the supplements. I hate it. Makes me irritable.
Yea I went to the Dr. One time, walked 300 yards into the clinic to the office. Less then 5 minutes later the nurse took my BP. It was 90/60, and she asked me if I felt sleepy?
And so I was really pleasantly surprised when I learned some of these mushrooms help you with energy also.
And like I said above. You can grow the mushrooms at home all year around. Try that with ginseng? Ginseng takes 4 years to mature before you can harvest it.
I'll post some more youtube vids on cultivating them, and how to identify, and find them in your local woods.
If you don't like the texture or taste of mushrooms. You can make a tea out them. And mix it with your coffee, or honey even.

This vid shows you you can grow the Turkey Tails and Lions Main at home.
