Headset recommendation..

Post by Qbe on Sun Apr 07, 2013 3:30 am

I've been wanting to join the TS server, but my old Sony headset is so damn hot to wear and has a loose connection.

Which headset would you recommend for use with TS and the occasional Skype? What a Face

it all depends how much you wanna pay because the more the better Very Happy
if you just want a good one for teamspeak and skype then just get a normal headset from logitech or something but stay away from trust headsets they are pretty bad and they brake pretty fast

Right now I saw that BestBuy has a Turtle Beach on sale for $31.99, reg. $99.99. Granted it's reconditioned but you still get the new warranty. It's the Call of Duty edition. I only mention it cause my son the "gamer nerd" says it's one of the best. I myself picked up the Plantronics for $29.99 w/ mic. I didn't want to wait for the special order time for the other one.

My main concern is to get something that's not going to bake my ears.

I think I'm going to go to BestBuy, put on a pair that looks good, then walk around the store for a few hours - just to see how it feels.. Hopefully I won't leave too much earjuice in their floor model.. Smile

Thanks for the advice.

HAVING KIDS AND DOGS AND SUCH, A HEADSET MIGHT LAST A DAY OR A FEW MONTHS. CHEAP IS ME. SOMETIMES AT WALLYWORLD THEY HAVE 2 IN A PAC FOR 8 TO 12 $. THAT WAY I ALWAYS HAVE A SPARE. EAR SWEAT, THE BIGGER THE EAR MUFF THE MORE THE SWEAT. SMALL, LITE, & CHEAP IS WHAT I LOOK FOR.

I usually stay away from the cheapest. That way I dont have to return to the store in a few days to replace the item. The Logitech w/mic is great for ET. I dont recommend it for music. As for them sneaking up on you, You can hear the footsteps just fine.

Just ordered an AziO usb gaming headset from Geeks.com for $34.99 on sale regular price $59.99. Walmart was over $60.

Most sites had it for $59.99 as a sale price. It was $99 at others.

It reviewed good for gaming but not so well for music, etc. and has a vibration function if you want to feel it when you get shot, lol.

Will tell you guys about it when it gets here in 8 to 10 days(econo shipping).

But, if you want one cheap I bet the sale will not last long or they will sell out, so you might want to act on it now.

if you really want good headset and are willing to pay a littel more then get a sennheiser or razer headset both have good durability but they are not the cheapest

The Asio is similar to the Logitech(over $100) or the higher range Turtle Beach. The choices for a usb gaming set are limited and most are too expensive.

The logitech would have been my first choice, but I will not pay that much for a gaming set.

If you want to listen to music then the more expensive sets make more sense like the sennheiser.

A fifty dollar knock off brand would do it all, xbox, ps3&4 with pc compatibility. Wired is ok cause the wireless tend to hum when charging. But if you can find a Turtle Beach at a sale go for it reg is around $200. owch
