Our machine was installing updates, and it restarted, so it shut down all processes. I'm restaring them now.

The server is set to automatically update Windows to prevent security problems. Sometimes it will reboot itself after an update.
 
We may be able to automate the ET servers so if a global shutdown occurs they will all be automatically restarted. This is possible with powershell scripting or by creating automatic tasks in the Server Manager.
