Still having problems Empty try this as possible fix

Post by Valkyr Thu Aug 30, 2012 8:50 am

do this and see if it helps. found it on a mac forum

1] Go to > WOLFENSTEIN: ENEMY TERRITORY > ETMAIN > campaigncycle.cfg
2] Copy/paste > campaigncycle.cfg onto DeskTop
3] DoubleClick > campaigncycle.cfg -- it will open in TextEdit
4] Delete everything that's written there & type this > seta r_fullscreen "0"
5] Click > Save As... > autoexec.cfg > Save
6] When ya see the popupbox that says == You have used the extension .cfg at the end of the name. The standard extension is .txt.
You can choose to use the standard extension instead. == click > Use .cfg
7] Put autoexec.cfg in > WOLFENSTEIN: ENEMY TERRITORY > ETMAIN & play as usual ! 8^ ]

The only thing is ya hafta resize to fullscreen in OPTIONS everytime you play -- it won't save that change.pirat

Noname, Riccardo is using a Mac, I believe. That makes me ill-equipped to help him because my Mac knowledge is limited.

What does the error message say? That will usually indicate what needs attention

Still having problems Empty Re: Still having problems

I regularly play ET using OS X (10.6.8 ) on an Intel iMac, Windows 7 (SP1) on a Intel Core i3 HP notebook, AND Ubuntu (12.04) on the same Intel Core i3 HP notebook (dual-boot), and I don't have any problems.

The native OS X ET client works great on OS X (I prefer to play ET on my iMac because of the third-party, non-Apple keyboard I use with it). Everything just works and Apple hardware rocks.

What model of PowerPC (PPC) Mac do you have? What are the specs (processor, RAM, etc)? Does it have the resources needed to play ET? Is your OS X installation on that Mac trustworthy? Have you tried reinstalling OS X and then reinstalling the ET client?

I don't believe the et client for Mac was compiled for Power PC processors, just intel.
If you have an older PPC Mac that might be the problem.

This is from memory so I can be completely certain.

Sorry to see that you are having problems yet riccardo. I know nothing about a mac, but I was poking around with google and stumbled across this series of posts. Don't know if there is anything there to help you, but there are some links there to a youtube video with some comments that you might check out. Good luck getting up and going.
