Django

I was at cinema yesterday, watching Django.
I gotta say, I'm dissapointed. I was hoping for something more like Pulp Fiction. The movie had its cool moments, but it was too violent at times.

Spoiler:

The main character was not likeable to me at all. Maybe I'm too soft but it was too much for me (and I liked Kill Bill or Machete). I guess it's because it had this depressing theme.
Pluses: Leonardo DiCaprio did a good job.

Do you have any opinions?

Most Americans don't like to watch movies about slavery. There's too much inherited guilt among whites and lingering anger among blacks. Kind of like the Holocaust in Germany.

I don't know why Leonardo DiCaprio agreed to play this role, his decision I guess.

Want to hear some stupid shit? The toy manufacturer for the Django toys discontinued them because someone decided that the toys were racist, go figure.

They are bringing very high prices now because they are now rare collectables.

Almost every single culture through out history has had slaves.. and have all gotten over it. I think it's time the US joins that club.

Actor Jamie Foxx in an interview before the movie was released said, "I kill all the white people in the movie... how great is that?"

Being a Southerner I wasn't much interested in the movie anyway. But that quote should be enough reason for anyone to avoid it.
