If you can't save your XP on our server, it means you:
a) don't have an ETKey
b) don't have your Punkbuster enabled
c) both

To save your XP, follow the guide below:

Make sure your 'pb' folder is up to date.

Download >>this<< and replace your 'pb' folder with this one, put it in your ET directory.

Then, generate an etkey: >>here<< and put the generated file in the etmain folder (also in your ET directory).

If you've done these things above, start your ET, go to PLAY ONLINE. In the bottom right you'll see the option "Enable Punkbuster". Click it. Then go to MODS, choose jaymod, and repeat (Play Online -> Enable Punkbuster).

Then you can connect to our server, make few kills, and reconnect. If your XP stays, it means everything worked.

I dont want to make this anymore complicated but Last time I had to d/l ET. I got the program from the ETKey site. This way it all came w/same d/l and installed everything on it own. Just a thought.

If you don't uninstall through uninstaller, there's a chance there will be etkey conflict in AppData on Windows Vista/7/8. And the custom install won't download new etkey, resulting in lack there of. So then they have to go through all this again. And I know a lot of people just delete their ET folder, and don't know anything about AppData (which is a hidden folder by default).

Thats true. I never thought about that. see, I just made it MORE complicated.

Just make sure you enable punkbuster both under etmain and jaymod. Also you need to have an etkey file in your etmain folder.

How do I install the latest version of this game ???

This installer has the latest patch and it generates the etkey:

After you install it, you will be prompted to make a new profile, so remember to click "Enable Punkbuster" ;]
