PING / LAG

not sure what is going on,but i have been trying to play this morning and cant, there was 4 of us in game and i was watching every ones ping jump all over the place.mine is usually around 50 and now its jumping as high 300 to 400. any ideas????

Copy that. Same here. Ping flux from day to day. My isp is to blame I think. They are rated like 90?% worst connection speed in U.S.

I was one both these times, The server was full with 98% of the players using the M97, each individual one is like an engie planting 100 mines. The server has to keep track of every individual pellet fired and what it hits. Some of these players don't ever take their finger of the trigger the whole game making it even worse... I run a cable modem and I was having trouble when ice covered my town. im not sure if it was effecting it or not. I never have to deal w/lag until recently with all the freezing weather. I also agree w/ Kidd about the shotty. I also am having some lag issues when a lot of green gas is visible. If a player is dropping gas in the spawn area, I have serious lag then. Obit helped out w/ the /seta cl_maxpackets 100 and rate changes. Manic try this: Type /players in your console. It shows you all players max paks and rate and so on. Maybe your at 30 max paks. See if this will help.

Again last nignt, there was a new plazyer "hammerhead2nd".
His ping was 700 to 999 !!!!!!! And 999 a long time.

We were 3-4 on the map. No mines, no particularities.....
(hammerhead2nd, BBA BallsOut and I)

What can I do to help him to correct the problem?
Disconnect and reconnect?
Do you have an idea?

thanks nero! I fixed my ping I bonded to external wifi cards together to create one giant signal now my ping is usally around 65 79 120  unless im downloading stuff the it get to the point where I cant pplay till its done
