SPRINT not working

With Asylum being down, I have been playing on Yardy's server lately.
Since the server change, my SPRINT key (shift) doesn't work.
I seem to be getting no additional speed when I use it.
Also, as a result, I don't get the control in jumps, and wind up dying... A lot.
Does anyone else have this issue? Anyone know a fix?
