It needs to be started from within the windows 2008 server we run the game on. Would be nice though.

Most server providers have something like TCAdmin or other control panels that allow the customer to start it from a web page, but we actually rent an entire windows 2008 operating system. This is cheaper and lets us assign more RAM and a dedicated CPU just for beginner.

A windows 2008 server is cheap, and you could run 10 ET servers on it for the cost of renting one ET server directly. And you don't have to be under someone else's control (regarding ET).

One idea is to have a separate user account for the win2008 server that has nothing but a giant red button that says "RESTART BEGINNER". Otherwise people might click something and crash the servers and all our weird stuff we run in there.

I understand very well what you're talking about. I worked as a tech and admin with my clients and it really took a red button "Restart" (vbs file) for restarting any servers. They do not understand how it works and clicks anywhere.

Ok Obit..... I just wanted to render up a service !!
You understand my English?
 Very Happy
