cid's abuse

I was playing axis against Bayman's allied in Goldrush (Beginner server), when cid came in and joined axis.
My axis team had way more xp than Bayman's team, so I went spec.
After a few minutes cid started verbally abusing Bayman, saying stuff like, Eat it, Suck it lady, and other unacceptable crap.

So I got mad and called him a p****, and told him not to abuse people. I apologise for cussing in the server, but he was being disgusting. And then he started abusing me too, saying the same kind of nasty crap.

Bayman didn't complain about cid, cos he is a gent. But I don't see why cid should be allowed to openly abuse people. So I told him that I was going to report him. (This kinda perplexed him - he couldn't understand that abusing people is wrong!)

He always joins the stronger team, never says hello, and now he's saying really abusive ****.

So, I ask that you keep an eye on him, please.

Depending on the context, if someone said to me, "Eat it" or "Suck it," I mind find it a bit humorous, seeing it as a sort of trash talk.  Maybe not though.  Under no circumstance would I find it funny if somebody called me a p****.

For the rest of it--I'll keep an eye out!

I know he says these things whenever he killed someone with a panzer, although this one time he thought I was a woman for some reason, he did make some slightly offensive remarks, but nothing to serious. Nevertheless, I will keep an eye on him aswell, just in case.

 Fair enough, but I'd had enough of players behaving badly.
I shouldn't have cussed him, but I only did it once, and then tried to explain that verbal abuse isn't acceptable. I think that most people would agree that saying: "Eat it" isn't acceptable because it has both oral sex and coprophagic connotations.
I think almost everybody would agree that saying: "Suck it lady" is definitely unacceptable. If I could've muted him, I would've, but I couldn't so I got frustrated and called him a p****. 

The context was that when he panzered Bayman, he then typed v56, ie, saying "great shot" about his own shot, then saying: "eat it". I was already annoyed with him for joining the stronger team. (Bayman is a MUCH better player than me, but my axis bots were really clocking up the xp).

He isn't a nice player, and this morning was the final straw for me.

daijizai -- I do agree, any sort of profane, derogatory, annoying sort of talk directed at someone, when not meant in obvious humor that both parties understand ... is ... annoying.  You're a good player, you help even teams and keep the chat at a better level.  Of course, when it comes to the bullets I'll be shooting at your head, I'll show you no partiality and will make sure you eat it.  (I hadn't thought of those other definitions).

Yeah, I've had to mute cid for calling people f*g and other relatively unfriendly dialogue.

This is quite common in video games and while annoying, is not something I would spend time worrying about. We are in a combat simulator so you shouldn't really expect polite well-adjusted human beings all the time.

Many of our players have a wide range of personality disorders or addictions.

I would focus on the kinds of chat problems that could lead to legal issues. Like someone being teased relentlessly to the point where it could trigger real-life violence for example. Or someone offering to do something illegal in real life.

As long as these problems are contained within the virtual reality of the server then there is no reason to get involved, unless there are children in the server at the time.

If you feel he is harassing you or someone else  excessively for no reason then please mute him. If he continues then the admins will deal with him through abuse or eventually banning him.

In future, I will "bite my tongue" a little more.

If I could've muted him, I would've, and then I wouldn't have cussed him.

But I couldn't mute him, so I felt a tad frustrated. Sorry about that.

I guess I'd had just a little too much of players being badly behaved.

When I went back to the server cid was still there, and I had to join his team. 

And all he did was attack me. 

Trying to knife me at spawn. And then he tried FFE on me (killing himself in the process, duhh)

I had to ask OneOldMan to tell him to stop attacking me.

Then it seemed that Cid disconnected.

Anyway, perhaps I'll take a holiday from ET for a while.

I had read the post's on the forum about Cid and noticed he was still logged on.  I was getting ready to leave for work but I decided to log on the game to see what was happening when when apparently CID had ffe'd daijizal so I started to record him.  The game was up in the castle at the time but they were both down next to the first axis spawn. They both died.  All Cid did after that was run around the castle while the rest of the game had moved to the hanger.  He seemed like some young kid just fooling around not knowing what was supposed to happen during the map.  Then he just disconnected.  I was hoping he would do something but after I came on he just played by himself.

Admins are perfectly welcome to mute him for harassment or abuse him for tking other players.

This is a very common situation. No big deal.

Sorry you feel like leaving ET over this daijizai. I hope you will feel better after you have taken a break.

The practical problem is that there often aren't any admins around when I'm playing

I didn't play for a week and connected today and he didn't change his repertoire, so I permamuted him.

he seems to take orders now I had him guard a flag n he stay right there. still the normal pushing n knifing going on once in awhile . seems hes more opt to listen when he cant speak lol
